The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is an International Award available to all students. It aims to equip students with life skills to make a difference to themselves, their communities and the world. The Award is an exciting program that you design, based on your interests. There are four areas you can become involved in:
- Skills – anything from playing in a band, fashion design or film and video making. You decide.
- Volunteering – choose your area of interest in the community, such as youth work, the environment or charity work, to name a few.
- Adventurous Journey – journey into an unfamiliar environment with a group and challenge yourself.
- Physical Recreation – get out there and get sweating! Dancing, adventure sports, ball sports, martial arts, the list goes on.
