Chapel
A strong part of the history and spiritual life of the school community, our chapel provides a beautiful setting for Wedding ceremonies and has the capacity to hold up to 250 guests seated.
Our school chapel houses some striking art work, including magnificent stained-glass windows by David Birrell, hand-worked banners by former Headmistress Evelyn Heath, and an impressive reredos, which echoes the colours of the windows and celebrates the women of the Bible.
Available on an enquiry-only basis with our school chaplain, our chapel is available for hire to past students and people within the St Margaret’s and St Aidan’s school community.
The Arts Centre Foyer
Our highly sought-after Arts Centre Foyer is perched high on Petrie Terrace and has magnificent panoramic views of the Brisbane River, city centre and beyond, providing an unforgettable backdrop for your reception.
Our Arts Centre Foyer has the capacity to hold 250 guests for a cocktail soiree or 160 guests for a seated buffet or two/three course dinner. The Arts Centre Foyer is complemented by our main Arts Centre Terrace which is the perfect setting for pre-dinner canapés and drinks overlooking the city skyline.
Barley Sugar Garden
Our much-loved Barley Sugar Garden is the perfect alternative setting for pre-dinner canapés and drinks for guests after your wedding ceremony.
Located near our school chapel and shaded by a vine covered pergola with festoon lighting and casual seating nooks, there isn’t a better place for your guests to enjoy an afternoon spritzer (or two) and mingle amongst our lush Spiral Gardens before the reception begins.

Catering
We have the capacity to cater for up to 150 people seated or 250 people standing cocktail style. Our highly experienced Catering Operations Manager and his team, have created our refined canape, buffet and plated menus using only the freshest seasonal produce.
