The Digital Innovation and Design Faculty encompasses the Senior Library and implementation of technology throughout the Technology and Design Curriculum areas. As a Microsoft accredited school, the philosophy of the faculty is to provide St Margaret's staff, students and parents with the best tools and vibrant learning environments where technology is fully integrated and seamlessly supports the learning needs of each student, to develop their creative, collaborative and communication skills as well as foster a culture of innovation and problem solving.
Through the study of Technology and Design subjects, students learn to be:
- critical and creative thinkers
- curious and willing to ask questions about the world they live in
- problem solvers who can make evidence-based decisions
- learners who can analyse and interpret data to create innovative solutions
To develop these dispositions and skills they will:
- identify and pose questions; conduct research, design and create innovative solutions
- study contemporary issues such as social justice, sustainability, cyber security, and community connection
