Class of 2020 - ATAR Results

Congratulations to our 2020 Year 12 students on their outstanding academic results!

Our history making Year 12s were the first to graduate under the new QCE system.

They were also the first, in recent history, to experience a global pandemic while completing their Year 12 studies.

Despite the months of online learning, cancelled sporting fixtures and music performances and various other changes brought about by COVID-19, our resilient Year 12 students achieved the following ATAR results:

- 16% (14) of the Year 12 cohort achieved an ATAR of 99 or above, placing them in the top 1% of the state
- 43.6% (38) of the Year 12 cohort achieved an ATAR of 95 or above, placing them in the top 5% of the state
- 63.1% (55) of the Year 12 cohort achieved an ATAR of 90 or above, placing them in the top 10% of the state
- Across four subjects, eight students received perfect scores of 100 out of 100
- 26 students received As in all their subjects

Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE)
100% of our students received a QCE.

Portfolio Pathway – Diplomas and Certificate Qualifications
Fourteen of our students graduated with 15 Diplomas (Business or Project Management). Students also earned either Certificate II or III qualifications in a wide range of areas (Rural Studies, Animal Studies, Sound Production, Health Support, Baking, Crime and Justice, Screen and Media, and Foundational Skills for Work). Two of our students also completed school-based traineeships – one in Community Pharmacy and the other in Agriculture.

Principal Ros Curtis congratulated the students on behalf of the school community.

“Congratulations to our graduated Year 12 students. Our school community is so proud of the achievements of these young women and the persistence, dedication and leadership they displayed throughout their education journey at St Margaret’s.

“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge our dedicated teachers for their stewardship of the learning journey of our seniors and also our parents and guardians who worked in partnership with us throughout their daughter’s schooling,” said Ms Curtis.
