The Warwick Showgrounds will fill with budding stock horsemen and women this weekend as students saddle up to compete in the High School Campdraft Percentil Cup hosted by St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School.
The two day campdraft event will include a practice session on Saturday offering participants the opportunity to improve their horsemanship and gain increased confidence in the saddle, receiving specialist coaching on their riding skills with Terry Hall.
The Percentile Cup held on the Sunday will see riders vying for a number of prize titles in a three-round competition.
St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School Head of Boarding Lesa Fowler said the school was proud to support the Warwick community: “St Margaret’s is thrilled to support the high school campdraft in Warwick, a community which is home to many of our St Margaret’s girls and their families.
“A busload of our 170 strong, diverse boarding community will travel to the event to support many of our own students who will be competing in the competition. We see this as a wonderful opportunity to showcase a classic Australian sport to many of our city and international girls who may not have witnessed campdrafting in action,” said Ms Fowler.
Good luck to all St Margaret's girls competing!
