Elise Gane

Join us for an Aspiring Young Women's Network breakfast with guest speaker Elise Gane ('04), Physiotherapist, Health Services Researcher, Principal Project Officer, Queensland Health

When Elise finished high school, all she wanted to do was become a physiotherapist. But her physiotherapy degree and work experience at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane was just the start. Along the way, Elise completed a PhD, led numerous research projects with patients in hospital, taught students at university, and is now part of a team building a digital health application for Queensland Health. Her diverse experience as a clinician, researcher, and project officer, along with her academic background, provides her with unique insights into the challenges of the public health system and the critical role of allied health professionals in delivering quality healthcare in Queensland. Join Elise as she explores what it means to be a physiotherapist and an allied health professional more broadly, and shares her experience of working in different types of healthcare settings
