In 2012, The St Margaret's Foundation received a modest donation to establish an Endowment Fund - it was a symbol of faith in the future of St Margaret's and the important role it has in educating young women. The purpose of the fund is to invest and build on the capital, so that ultimately the interest earned on the investment can be used to further the educational offerings to St Margaret's students. The long-term goal of this fund is to supply money in perpetuity, which can be used to support a variety of St Margaret's projects.
Contributions to the Endowment Fund are not tax deductible, but are very much a gift that keeps on giving to the community year after year. We are still in the early days of establishing this fund and it is unlikely that sufficient money will be generated to assist St Margaret's for many years. Nevertheless, it has been important to start this process and ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the school. Contributions will leave a legacy for future St Margaret's students and will be greatly appreciated.
All proceeds from the highly successful Professional Women's Networking Breakfasts go to the Endowment Fund; supporting these breakfasts is helping the future of St Margaret's and its students.
