Issue 15 - 17 May 2012

Defence Force
The Australian Defence Force Gap Year Program has ceased following the 2012-2013 Federal Budget announcement on Tuesday 8 May. The decision is part of the reprioritisation of Defence expenditure, which has been carefully designed to protect our servicemen and women and our Defence operations and to minimise the impact on core capabilities. Current Gap Year Program applicants will be contact by Defence Force Recruiting in the near future to discuss other available options. These include a number of jobs requiring only a one year commitment.
